Our client is a well-established international contractor delivering large-scale construction projects across Europe. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and project delivery, the company operates across a diverse portfolio including commercial developments, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, and mission-critical data centre facilities.
Due to continued expansion within the data centre sector, our client is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join the delivery team on a major data centre project in Finland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of the project’s health and safety management systems, ensuring that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, industry best practice, and local regulatory requirements.
Working closely with project management, subcontractors, and site personnel, the Health & Safety Advisor will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are maintained across this complex mission-critical project.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the implementation and monitoring of health & safety management systems across the project site
• Promote and maintain a strong health & safety culture across all construction activities
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Review and monitor method statements and risk assessments to ensure safe systems of work are in place
• Deliver and support site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings for site personnel and subcontractors
• Monitor compliance with company policies, project procedures, and local health & safety regulations
• Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented
• Work closely with site management and subcontractors to ensure safe working practices are consistently maintained
• Maintain accurate health & safety documentation, reports, and site records
• Assist in preparing health & safety reports and performance metrics for project management
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing site safety performance

Requirements
• Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline
• Previous experience in a construction or engineering environment, ideally on large-scale projects
• Strong knowledge of construction health & safety legislation and best practice
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and incident investigations
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with site teams, subcontractors, and project management
• Willingness to work on an international construction project in Finland
